The more I learn about grass care, the stupider I get0

Just out surfing the net feeling frustrated about all this information on grass care.

I came across a little snippet that makes me feel really stupid.  Basically it’s about mowing.  And I’ve been mowing a lot more with my moterless grass care mower (Likin’ the exercise more than I thought I would - I guess).  Come to find out even how you run around your yard makes a difference.  You’ve got to be kidding me!

I always thought those commercial grass care guys were cool on their hovercraft floating around and making the grass look all striped and stuff.  So I wanted to do that in my back yard.  (You can get a peek at it on my video below).  So I go back and forth and I’ve made little grooves in my grass.  I thought that was the secret.  Now I find out you are supposed to vary the way you mow for the health of your lawn.  I’m feeling the hatred well within me for my grass…

So driving ruts into your yard isn’t the way to do that.  I have no idea how to make that happen.  I guess I’ll have to do some research.  Anybody know where I can find this out.  And if it’s a lot of effort, I don’t know that I’ll even be interested.

I Hate Grass Care1

Here is an appropriate introduction to why I hate grass care.

I would really appreciate it if you joined me. Let me know I’m not alone in facing this horrible chore. Sure I want my grass to look nice. No, I don’t want to be the bane of my neighbors. But short of hiring a gardener, I am faced with this task.

I will be collecting your tips to help me. I will also be looking for news and products that will help aleviate the pain of this task.

For starters you probably want to know why I’m using this reel mower for my grass care. I couldn’t handle the constant repairs and not starting of a gas mower, plus getting the gas or having it go bad as I neglected my mowing.

Not that’ I’m a big fan of the environment. Oh don’t get me wrong, it’s fine for the dark jungles of the Amazon, the Serengetti plains, or the Austrailian bush. But not in my back yard. But if you like the idea of doing your part for the planet. Using this little monster for grass care replaces a conventional lawn mower. In one hour that replaces the pollution of 40 late model cars (or as much as driving a car for 100 miles).

That’s nice for the planet and all, but for me it’s personal. I hate grass care!
